Week of May 25th-29th
Here are this week’s assignments. Please do not feel overwhelmed, just do the best you can! If ever you need some help, you can always reach me via e-mail. Have a great week!!
Reading: (30 minutes a day: 15 in English/15 in French….OR MORE)
-Leveled reading website en français. This is the address:
https://jelis-free.rkpublishing.com/student
-Leveled French and English books on the website Reading A-Z:
https://www.readinga-z.com/books/leveled-books/
**You can read a leveled book more than once in order to improve comprehension and fluidity! Don’t forget to make a prediction before you read, frequent comprehension check-ins while reading, and a detailed retell to a family member afterwards.
-For non-leveled books, you can virtually check-out library books from the New Brunswick Public Libraries:
https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/departments/nbpl.html
-You also have access to the Epic website. This is the address:
www.getepic.com
Reading and Viewing/Writing and Representing/Speaking and Listening:
-You can choose 10 words from the word lists located in the Word lists tab at the top of the website, or you can choose them from the French books that you are currently reading. These will be your words to learn for the week! There are many ways to learn words! Write them with play dough, popsicle sticks, or on a white board. Write them graffiti style, backwards, or on a sheet of paper. You can even practice them in a video game (www.alloprof.qc.ca/magimot). Give yourself a little quiz on Friday to see how well you have learned your words!
-Here are two French writing prompts. You can write a few paragraphs (around 1 page…or more if you are inspired!) for one prompt or both! Don’t forget to check that your ideas are explained clearly/thoroughly (beginning, middle, end) and that you check for mistakes (best you can): Ponctuation, Orthographe, Majuscules, Masculin/féminin, Ecriture, Singulier/Pluriel= Pommes.
**Punctuation, Spelling, Capitalization, Masc/fém= le/la and un/une, Neat writing, Singular/plural**
-Duolingo website(15-20 min.) every day.
https://www.duolingo.com
- Here is a little English writing assignment for the week! (FILE TOO BIG TO UPLOAD HERE...WILL SEND IN E-MAIL)

- Here is a little English writing assignment for the week! (FILE TOO BIG TO UPLOAD HERE...WILL SEND IN E-MAIL)
- Here are two little paragraphs that still have some editing to be done! Correct the grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
1. Have you ever herd someone say they are as blind as a bat. Bats are actually not blind, but they have a special skill to help them sea better at nite. They ‘see’ by making noises and waiting too see if the sound waves bounce off objects. If the noise doesn’t bounce back than they know they can safetly fly forward. This special skill is called Echolocation! (8 mistakes)
2. Cotton candy is made by heating sugar and spin it out threw tiny holes. The tiny strand it creates are thinner then a human hair! In other parts of the world, Cotton candy is called candy floss fairy floss and even papas beard! Did you know that the yummy treet is almost 99.9% suger with dashes of flavoring and coloring. It isnt a healthy snack, but it is delicious (13 mistakes)
Math:
-Here are a few worksheets to complete during the week. I put both French and English versions for some in case language is an issue.
